List Recognizes Businesses for Creating Corporate Cultures That Foster Gender Diversity

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —October 2, 2019— Kenco Logistics, North America’s leading third-party logistics provider, today announced the company’s inclusion in the Women in Trucking Association (WIT) “Top 50 Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation” list. Now in its second year, the list recognizes organizations that have corporate cultures that foster gender diversity, offer competitive compensation and benefits, have flexible hours and work requirements and provide professional development and career advancement opportunities.

“We are honored to be listed as a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation,” said Jane Kennedy Greene, Chairwoman of the Board, Kenco Logistics. “This recognition by WIT affirms our continued commitment to valuing gender diversity and positively promoting female leadership throughout the company.”

Kenco’s workforce is 30% female, and the company regularly offers innovative diversity and inclusion training throughout the organization to foster an equitable culture for all employees. Kenco was also recently recognized by WIT as a top woman-owned business based on financial stability and growth, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and business accomplishments, including gender diversity efforts.

“This list was created to support WIT’s mission: to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the transportation sector,” said Ellen Voie, president and CEO, WIT. “As an innovative and successful woman-owned business, Kenco Logistics has created a positive work environment that promotes gender diversity and provides women with career advancement opportunities. That is why Women in Trucking is pleased to recognize Kenco as a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation.”
